Hi I’m Bex! I started writing books when I was thirteen years old, and I started writing good books when I was twenty years old. Over the years, this blog has been my diary, my timeline, my outlet, my conduit, my experiment, my lifeline, my tool. I am hoping it can be of use to you for advice, entertainment, food for thought, or similar.
It brings me great joy to note that my debut novel is coming out soon(ish)! Please subscribe for updates about that. I’m so excited to share it with you! You can preorder it now by searching for Falling for the Protagonist on your favorite bookstore’s website.
Writing aside, I am constantly starting new creative endeavors that I have no time for. If you would like to check out my animations, my glass work, my photography, my self-published YA novel, my socials, or any combination thereof, please feel free to CLICK HERE to visit my Linktree (which also includes links to Falling for the Protagonist). You can also browse the ever-expanding menu bar at the top of this site.
As we all know, social media is as evil as it is necessary for self-promotion and human connection (though with the advent of AI, the latter aspect is increasingly dubious). Here are some links, most of which can also be accessed through my Linktree above:

It must be acknowledged that I started this blog when I was in college, and there are quite a few posts (understatement). Since I’m assuming you don’t have the endless patience and free time that would be required to start from Post 1 and work your way through everything in chronological order, feel free to use the Categories section in the sidebar and/or this curated list of recommendations I made just for you:
Two of my most-viewed posts were about—What else?—50 Shades of Grey. Part 1 & Part 2
Want to see some of my short fiction? For something silly, check out “The Hitman” and for something serious, read “Good Fences.”
For pop culture commentary and/or analysis: Percy Jackson TV Show, Gone Girl, John Dies at the End, Disney/Pixar’s Brave, & here’s a bonus Frankenstein since technically that story is still “current” or “evergreen” (no pun intended) RE: pop culture
Writing advice: This one here and that one there
Finally, I have engaged multiple times over the years in the futile practice of analyzing advertisements. Here is a post about anthropomorphic food, another about mobile game ads, and one more about grammatically incorrect ads.
hello – nice to meet you Bex

I just put a link in my post today (“Purposeless Dialogue”) to your blog. You have some great writing tips. I hope you appreciate all the weirdos I’ll be sending your way.
The more weirdos the merrier, I always say. Your kind comments and increased weirdo traffic are immensely appreciated. Thank you.
I love your blog! Nominated you for the Shine on Award – details at:
Thank you for thinking of me!
